As the sun shines brighter, the flowers bloom, and the birds begin their singing (and squawking) earlier in the mornings, the season of spring brings about a sense of renewal and a drive to make changes. This happens because of the shifts- it stays lighter longer, and this has an effect on the body’s circadian rhythm. Melatonin is reduced, serotonin is increased, so getting that solid 7-8 hours of deep sleep might not come as easily.
Another shift is in temperature- this warmer weather causes blood vessels to expand, and this can slightly lower blood pressure, which in turn, can cause tiredness.
The final change- hormonal adjustments. The human body needs time to adapt from the winter’s slower rhythm to spring’s more active one.

How to Stay Productive During Spring Fatigue
Whether it’s going out and building friendships, meal prepping, vacuuming, dusting, or tackling taxes, springtime rolls out a never-ending to-do list. Indeed, spring cleaning and tidying up is a big focal point after some of us took full advantage of hibernation mode this winter. Get those latex gloves on, it’s time to get scrubbing!

🦠 Bacteria Zones- kitchens and bathrooms hang onto the most bacteria. Pleasant, we know. Get that bottle of bleach (or environmentally-friendly sprays) and scrub down those faucets, sinks, microwave, fridge, and toilets.
